There she goes...

This past Saturday was the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters Fair. It was the best fair yet!! They spread it out into 2 rooms, so there was lots of space to peruse and touch and smell yarn.
Also it was the first year in many that I have gone sans children and was not pregnant, likely that added to my enjoyment of the whole day.

I was very reserved, only bought a little yarn. Sea Wool from Fleece Artist.

I bought a pattern to go with it. Ilga Leja's Brickworks. She is the same designer of the Lake of the Woods that I am working on now. Ilga herself helped me, she is lovely and came all the way from Halifax! If you've never seen her patterns before do take a look.

Big day at A Few Things to Say

All by her own.

I absolutely love that going-to-school picture! The shadows of the proud parents (mom with camera) are quite symbolic.

I love the going to school piccie too. She looks so small!

And that yarn is to dye for. Can't wait to see those colours come together.

Very nice yarn. I didn't get to the knitters fair because I was selling my jewelrry at another show, but the last time I went (two or three years ago) it was crazy-busy! Two rooms would have been nice!

Lovely juicy coloured yarn. It's a sign of a good picture when I actually want to touch the computer monitor (hee hee).

Congratulations Kindergarden Girl (that's what mine is now calling herself). Such big steps!

Great yarn! I've never been to the knitter's fair, but I'm hoping to get there someday.
