I can make stuff
Here's my newest fabric additions.
I am taking a class at my local sewing store. We're making this. The first class was last night and I spent all day doing the homework. Sewing the bias strips onto the cording for the piping. Not all that hard but I had some feet trouble. I got it in the end.
We also had a little craft time.
From left: one eyed cow, disco chicken, one eyed goat, drunken dog and finally pretty near perfect pig. Unfortunately the fabric glue didn't quite do the job and they need some reinforcing.

Wow! I love that bag! I can't wait to see the finished project. What a fun class!
I love Amy Butler patterns. You always pick super cute fabric too.
Love the animals!
I love the bag! Are you taking the course at Fabricland?
That weekender bag is amazing! You can actually make that? Now I am going to have to learn to sew! Favorite critter=one eyed goat
Excellent crafts. And I like the bag too!
Such pretty material and a fabulous pattern. You are going to have a great bag at the end of those classes. Now I have to ask - is it just me or is sewing becoming an expensive hobby though. Maybe it's just that I always seem to fall for the most expensive material in the store (and that rarely stops me, but I'm just throwing this out there as an afterthought)? I remember back when I was a kid and my mom was buying material...ok I'll stop there because I'm starting to sound like my own parents now.
Love the crafting - especially the one eyed cow which I somehow finding wildly amusing. The disco chicken is also really awesome because the eyes seem to follow me when I move from side to side. Looks like you and the gals had a fun afternoon with felt. I really have to start digging deep and finding some energy - I don't seem to be getting anything done this week.
I think the one-eyed cow is by far my favourite!
Ok, I think I might be slightly obsessed with the disco chicken...
Nice fabric! That bag is awesome. I love the puppets.
can't wait to see your finished bag. love your fabric and the great personality of your puppets.
That bag is really cool. I would never try to make one. Good luck. Love the little hand puppets. Save those forever.
